Egypt

We just returned from the land of the Pharaohs and it was a blast! We saw the great pyramids of Giza, visited the Valley of the Kings, rode camels along the nile, visited a papyrus factory, drank a lot of Coke, got a little sick, bought cheap souvenirs, climbed Mt. Sinai and took some great pics! Enjoy!

This was a look out point overlooking the biggest crater in the world... I think.

This was one of my first views of the Great Pyramids!
This was our hotel in Cairo. Very nice.

The Great Pyramid of Khufu! The biggest of them all! This was the one we got to actually go into. It took thirty years to build and 10,000 people died while building it. It is 451 feet tall and is made of about 2.3 million stones with an average weight of about 5 tons!

The second greatest pyramid. The Pyramid of Cheops.
All three! These pyramids were already 800 years old when Abraham came to Egypt! Isn't that crazy?

  2. Aubrey, I am so excited to hear all the details of the trip. It looks amazing.
I love you. I am so gald you don't have to drink Coke all the time anymore. You probably had, "diarrhea since Easters."
