Market street in West Jerusalem.

This was the first American-like meal that I have had in a long time and I loved it!! Coke and a subway sandwich!

This is a bakery in the market street in West Jerusalem. Two cookies for a shekel (about 25 cents)! Pretty good.

Look at all that candy! There are a ton of stores like this with candy just sitting out in piles. It is so tempting!

These candies are probably safer than most because they are actually wrapped. Most of the candy that sits out like this isn't wrapped, but we have still bought some of it anyways. You gotta take a few risks if you want to experience the old city :)
THE DOME OF THE ROCK MOSQUE AND THE TEMPLE MOUNT!

The Dome of the Rock sits on the temple mount, also known as Mt. Moriah. This was the mount where Abraham almost sacrificed Isaac and is the place where the previous temples of Jerusalem were located.

This is the Western Wall on a typical weekday. There are always people there, but not huge crowds.
Western wall again.

We found this shirt while shopping and thought it was really funny. Notice how they added little side curls and a kippa (yamaka) to Pooh.
This video was taken at the Western Wall the morning of Shavuot which is one of the big Jewish holidays. This holiday is celebrated to commemorate Moses receiving the Torah on Mt. Sinai and a lot of the orthodox Jews stay awake the whole night and study the Torah for this holiday. We got to the wall about 5:30 in the morning and there were thousands of Jews there reading from their prayer books and I believe that many of them also read the story of Ruth on this day. I tried to zoom in enough so you can see all the Jews crowded next to the Western Wall.
